On 7 September 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways signed a cooperation agreement with OpenAirlines-CEFA to deploy the SkyBreathe® 360° eco-flying platform and the CEFA Flight Animation System (FAS) to optimize fuel use and improve operational efficiency. The agreement brings SPA into a global community of more than 160 airlines applying technology to raise operational performance and cut fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
This is the next step in SPA’s strategy to build a modern airline, moving in step with its investment in a new-generation fleet and the development of management and operational capabilities that meet international standards.
Rapid growth hand in hand with efficiency and sustainability
Since its first commercial flight in November 2025, SPA has steadily expanded its route network and expects to grow its fleet to 32 aircraft in 2026, including four Airbus A330 widebodies. Looking further ahead, an order for 40 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, together with the goal of a 100 aircraft fleet by 2030, reflects the airline’s long-term investment direction.
For SPA, growth in scale must go hand in hand with operational efficiency and environmental responsibility. The partnership with OpenAirlines-CEFA is therefore not simply the deployment of a technology solution; it is also an opportunity for SPA to join an international community that shares data, experience, and best practices in operational optimization.

Harnessing data and AI to improve operational performance
CEFA FAS enables flight operations and safety teams to recreate a flight as a 3D animation within minutes of landing, supporting analysis, trend identification, and more effective pilot training.
In parallel, the SkyBreathe® Analytics platform analyses fuel efficiency flight by flight and delivers optimization recommendations to pilots through the MyFuelCoach application.
Combining the two systems allows SPA to turn flight data into more accurate operational decisions while progressively building a data-driven operating culture in line with international practice. The airline is targeting cumulative fuel savings of 4.5-5% over the next five years, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions and making a tangible contribution to Vietnam’s Net Zero 2050 goal.
