OpenAirlines becomes a certified B-Corporation
We are proud to join the B-corp global movement among 2,800 companies worldwide. B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to compete not only to be the best in the world, but to be the best FOR the world.
Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
To obtain B Corp Certification, OpenAirlines participated in the rigorous B Impact Assessment process, which evaluated everything from OpenAirlines' operations and business model impact on workers, community, environment, and customers to supply chain, charitable giving, and employee benefits. OpenAirlines secured an overall score of 92.1 in its B Impact Assessment, exceeding the minimum score of 80 needed to attain B Corp status (the average score for organizations assessed for B Corp status is 50 points).
"We are and have always been absolutely committed to caring not just about profit, but more importantly, about people and the planet. We’re all very proud to now be officially accredited for the way that our company shows up in the world and to join a robust community of like-minded businesses. This certification demonstrates our unyielding commitment for a more equitable, impactful and brighter future of aviation." says Alexandre Feray, CEO and founder of OpenAirlines.
OpenAirlines has already been widely recognized as a sustainable business by many trophies and labels. This includes the "Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label" proving the economic profitability of OpenAirlines' solutions that protect the environment, and serving as a guarantee of quality to airlines looking to implement clean solutions.
